It affects everyone and yet many do not know how to do it correctly: We tell you how to clean your skin properly and thus protect against blackheads, pimples and, in the long term, against wrinkles!

With an area of almost 2 square meters, our skin is not only the largest organ in our body, but also a particularly complex and clever one. It has to be, after all, the skin encloses our bones, muscles and organs and protects them from external dangers.

The state of health of our skin is important: If it doesn't look healthy, this allows conclusions to be drawn about our general health and we also often feel less attractive. This mainly affects the face, because that's where we look first. Unfortunately, the skin is particularly sensitive there.

Especially with the facial skin, it is important that it has a pure and clear appearance. What bothers: blackheads, pimples, acne, wrinkles, redness.

Now we would assume that our skin should be able to cleanse itself and bring along defense mechanisms. She does that too! However, the external environmental influences of smog, environmental toxins and our lifestyle habits, sugar and stress, have changed dramatically over the past centuries and our skin cannot keep up with them so easily.t mit.

We have to help our skin and with it ourselves! And we can do this on the one hand with the right cleaning and care and more mindfulness towards our way of life..

Facial cleansing helps against blackheads

Our skin produces sebum to maintain its own protective barrier. The sebum glands are located on the hair follicles and can produce an excessive amount. This can be due to the hormones, but also to the diet or our lifestyle, for example when we do not exercise enough.

When sebum is overproduced, a plug forms in our pores, which can burst at some point. A substance in the sebum, the melanin, then emerges. oxidizes in air and turns black. This is the blackhead.

However, if you wash your face regularly, you will remove excess sebum from the pores and thus reduce the chance that blackheads can form at all.

With the right cleansing, you can ensure a clear complexion.

Regular face washing helps against pimples and acne

A pimple is something like the blackhead's evil twin: it occurs when the blackhead becomes infected. The inflammation of the blackhead causes a pus focus to form on the skin, which not only looks unsightly, but also feels uncomfortable.

If you take action against blackheads with your face wash, you are helping to prevent pimples from developing in the first place.

Regular, good care prevents wrinkles

Skin inflammation is a stress test for the skin. And the more frequently they occur, the more you can see the ailments: Small scars can remain on the skin and over time contribute to the formation of wrinkles. Because the older your skin gets, the less resilient it is.

In your facial care program, it is important that you not only cleanse the skin, but also care for and arm it with important nutrients. This will help it stay smooth and reduce wrinkles. The prerequisite for this is that you do it regularly!

How do I get a healthy and clear complexion

For a healthy and clear complexion, it is unfortunately not enough to simply wash your face with a little soap. Complete facial care consists of three steps:

  1. Clean
  2. Care for
  3. Protect

1. Cleaning: This is how you wash your face properly

Facial cleansing is all about removing dirt particles, harmful bacteria and free radicals from the skin and from the skin pores. This is the basis for ensuring that there are no blackheads andd Pimples on the skin can form.

Because cleaning has to be done pore-deep, you need a particularly effective facial cleanser. When choosing the cleaner, we recommend using those withoutharmful ingredients and work without perfumes. The reason: You do not want to irritate or damage your skin during cleaning and thus provoke inflammation or redness.

There are many different suppliers of good, natural cosmetics that do not contain questionable ingredients. At sober we are currently running a small trial campaign where you can get a Gentle Facial Cleaner tester for free. You can order your free sample here.

You should be careful when cleaning your face:

  • Pre-wash your face with a little water to rinse off the coarse dirt.
  • Use only a small amount of the cleanser and massage it onto your skin with gentle movements.
  • Let the facial cleanser take effect briefly and wash it off thoroughly with clean water.

A note on removing pimples and blackheads:

You really shouldn't be tinkering with your fingers on your face and squeezing out pimples or blackheads. This only makes the problem worse. You can either show patience and let the pimple go by itself or you can seek professional help: beauticians have the right tools to treat and remove pimples and blackheads without the risk of infection..

2. Care: What your skin needs after cleansing

Your skin naturally has its own protective film that protects it from drying out and fends off external hazards. You don't want to attack this protective film when you clean your face. That's why it's so important that you use a mild cleanser on your face.

Only: where there is planing, there are also chips.

Every time you clean your face, warm water is enough to attack the protective film. For this reason, after cleansing, it is so important that you rebuild the skin's own protective barrier!!

A hydrating cream with valuable oils, vitamins and nutrients is what your skin needs after cleansing. Apply this care lotion to your facial skin with gentle circular movements. Pay particular attention to the area around the eyes, where wrinkles are most likely to form: A good cream helps the skin to prevent wrinkles. You should definitely use this side effect.

3. Protect: Prevention for the skin is better than aftercare

There are a number of tips that will help you improve your skin in the long term. These key tips relate to our lifestyles that can negatively affect the skin:

  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Sugar, alcohol, tobacco, fast food and more are poison for the skin. If you want to dig deeper into healthy skin and nutrition, take a lookthis post on.
  • Exercise regularly:Sweat makes you beautiful and is not only good for your muscles, but also has a positive effect on your skin and the age of your skin.
  • Check your stress level. Constant stress and little sleep have a negative effect on your immune system and thus also on the skin. It becomes more vulnerable, more prone to irritation and redness and thus pimples and wrinkles. Don't take the topic lightly! Here you can find out more about how stress and skin health are related.
  • Don't unnecessarily endanger your skin and protect it from external influences. This includes avoiding grabbing your face with your fingers and keeping bacteria away from your skin. You should also make sure to wash your pillow regularly!
  • And of course: Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible and apply sunscreen if there is no other way. The simple calculation is:Sun skin wrinklesen.

Healthy skin only needs two things and no ski ski)

The cosmetics industry is full of big, loud, and wild promises. We want to counter this: healthy skin care doesn't need a lot, namely only natural ingredients and a healthy attitude towards life.

So make sure that your care products do not endanger your skin. And that you are good to yourself and your skin in life.
